Maybe soon, I'll try and draw some maps. I've sent away for Campaign Cartographer 3 from Ebay and hope to receive it soon enough. Then, I can start mapping out the world of Trithofar. I realize that only a few people who ever find this blog will know what the heck Trithofar is, so I think I'll introduce it now.
It is a world of my creation. Just as Tolkein has his Middle Earth and Faulkner his Yaknawpatawpha and Lewis his Narnia, etc. I have Trithofar. Trithofar is a world I have shared with my friends before, but some of them have gone on to other things. It is a place in which I write, a place where I can eek out an imagined existence and play with societies, psychologies, and histories. It is likely to be the place where most of my novels will exist and my characters make their lives.
In future, I hope to hone my art skills to a fine point, and put that point to making illustrations for my novels. what is a fantasy novel without a map or two, right? As you can see, I am getting better with my art, so who knows? Maybe there will be a book both written and illustrated by me. Necessity being the mother of invention, and having a need of art with few people willing to provide it on command, I guess I'll take up the baton myself. Of course, if someone sees this site, I'll be happy if they wish to draw pictures for anything by me they read.
Maybe I'll experiment more with gremlins, hials, and eventually kinto-shah.
J.
